Sweco finalises the acquisition of VK architects+engineers

Sweco has finalised the takeover of VK architects+engineers and all VK subsidiaries. These include engineering firm Infranea, architecture and engineering office DENC, and engineering firm One Simulations, part of Sweco in the Netherlands; Belgian companies Van Looy Group, part of Sweco, and Exilab, part of Sweco; Betic Ingénieurs-Conseils, part of Sweco in Luxembourg; and AD Architects, part of Sweco in England. This follows approval of the agreement by the Belgian Competition Authority.

With this acquisition, Sweco strengthens its market leadership in Belgium and Luxembourg and, above all, continues its ambition to become a full life-cycle partner in the construction sector. Joining forces enables us to contribute to a climate- and future-proof environment that prioritises health and well-being. By forming a strong multidisciplinary team, we can implement an integrated approach and become a full life-cycle partner focused on sustainability, innovation and digitalisation in every project. We look forward to the start of a great collaboration that will accelerate the transformation of our society!
