Inauguration in Mathendahl

A residential project at the heart of the future Mathendal eco-district
On Thursday, 5 December 2024, three residential complexes were inaugurated in Niederkorn, in the presence of Claude Meisch, Minister for Housing and Spatial Planning, Guy Altmersch, Mayor of Differdange, Diane Dupont, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fonds du Logement, and Jacques Vandivinit, Director of the Fonds du Logement.
Homes integrated into a sustainable neighbourhood
Led by the Fonds du Logement, the project is part of the PAP “Mathendal,” a future eco-district where one-third of the surface area will be dedicated to public spaces and shared green areas.
A variety of homes to meet family needs
The three buildings contain 42 apartments with 1 to 4 bedrooms, ranging from 61 to 107 m² of living space, as well as 2 commercial units. Each apartment has a balcony and a cellar, and the basements are dedicated to laundry rooms and a shared car park with 50 spaces.
Sustainable technical solutions
On-site renewable energy production
For special technical installations, 36 photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof of one of the residences.
A social and economic purpose
The homes are reserved for affordable rentals, while the commercial spaces are available for lease on the open market.
